5 Best Suspense Movies..

Starting from the bottom to the top..

5. The Usual Suspects - Who is Keyser Soze?Five criminals are busted for a crime they didn't commit, attempt to discover who or what brought them all together and we find out why everyone is scared to death of some guy named Keyser Soze. Kevin Spacey is fabulous and won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor for his role.

4. Wait Until Dark - This film stars Audrey Hepburn as the blind lady trapped inside her apartment while the evil character played by Alan Arkin terrorizes her. I must admit that I did jump at that one scene. If you're asking which scene that is, then you obviously haven't seen the movie. So rent it, and turn ALL the lights out.

3. Vertigo - Has there ever been a stronger story about passion and obsession? Tie this in with a remarkably tightly scripted plot of deception, and we have Hitchcock's greatest film. The only reason I don't put this at the top of the list for suspense and thrillers is that Vertigo is so much more than a tale of suspense.

2. Rear Window - The ultimate in voyeuristic thrillers, as all the action takes place looking out from Jimmy Stewart's window. We join in with his speculations on his neighbors, and I know that I felt the tension when Grace Kelly is snooping around Raymond Burr's apartment as we see him return. Hitch sets us up perfectly in this one, as we identify with Stewart in his wheelchair, and feel relatively helpless as the enemy closes in.

1. Psycho - The creepiness of the Bates Motel, eerie silhoutte near the window, brilliant acting by Anthony Perkins, excellent direction and above all- THE SHOWER SCENE...Hitchcock at his best.

Also i would like to mention...
*Saw series - Excellent twists in the end in every part.
*Mindhunters
*The night of the hunter
*Lifeboat (again Hitchcock at his best)
*North by Northwest.
